About the Role

We''''re hiring a Lead Data Scientist to architect and deploy goal-oriented AI Agents. This role focuses on dynamic, stateful systems that reason, use tools, and interact in real-time, using FastAPI for services and Azure AI Foundry for orchestration—distinct from traditional static model training.

Key Responsibilities

· Agent Design & Orchestration: Develop autonomous agents with frameworks like LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or Azure AI Agents SDK.

· Web Service Development: Build scalable, async APIs via FastAPI for front-end integration.

· Tool & Function Calling: Create and integrate custom tools (Python functions, APIs, databases) for real-world tasks.

· State Management: Handle persistent memory for multi-turn agent interactions.

· Azure Cloud Integration: Deploy and scale using Azure App Service, Container Instances, or Functions.

· Prompt Engineering & Evaluation: Refine prompts and evaluate with tools like Ragas or Promptflow for reliability.

Technical Requirements

· Programming: Expert in Python, including async and type hinting.

· API Frameworks: Experience with production FastAPI and Pydantic services.

· Azure AI Ecosystem: Hands-on with Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI Service, and AI Search.

· Agentic Frameworks: Skilled in LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen, or Azure AI Agents SDK.

· Vector Databases: Familiar with Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or Weaviate for RAG.

· Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient in Azure CLI/SDK for compute, identities, and Key Vault.

Education & Experience

· Experience: 12+ years in Data Science/AI Engineering; 2+ years in Generative AI and Agentic systems. Preference for experience in the healthcare insurance domain.

· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, or related field.

· Portfolio: Proven deployments of AI agents from prototype to production cloud.

· Python Pro: Favor async, high-performance code.

· Agent Enthusiast: Passionate about evolving from chatbots to autonomous agents.
