Summary

Role Overview:

This is a role for someone who understands operations and knows how to turn that understanding into lasting platform value. You will sit at the intersection of Operations and IT, acting as the functional bridge between what our warehouse and order management operations actually need and what the Manhattan Active WM and OM platforms can deliver.

You are not purely a technologist, and you are not purely a logistics specialist. You are both. You know how a warehouse runs. You understand the pressures operations teams face, and you know how to translate those realities into functional solutions that stick. At the same time you are comfortable working inside IT delivery structures, navigating platform governance and driving implementations that meet the standards we have set globally.

You will work across both platforms and use that breadth to drive outcomes that make sense for the business as a whole, not just for one system in isolation.

You will support and coach our global Super User community, work closely with regional operations and project teams and guide the functional design of solutions that reflect how our business actually operates. Stakeholders will be spread across time zones and the role involves international travel, roughly one week every four to six weeks. You will report to the Functional Platform Advisors Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and document functional requirements for the global Manhattan Active WM and/or OM templates, working directly with operations stakeholders to make sure what gets built reflects how the business runs on the floor.
  • Act as the go-to bridge between operations and IT project teams during deployments, making sure functional decisions are grounded in operational reality and not just technical convenience.
  • Perform structured GAP analyses across WM and OM and translate findings into clear recommendations that operations leadership and IT can both act on.
  • Design and execute test plans that cover both platforms, supporting QA, SIT and UAT cycles with the rigour needed to go live with confidence.
  • Stay close to implementations through go-live and beyond, resolving functional and integration issues quickly and keeping operational teams supported during the transition.
  • Lead training and knowledge sharing with project teams, regional operations staff and the Super User community, building the kind of platform confidence that reduces dependency over time.
  • Work across Strategy and Design, IT, operations, suppliers and Product Owners to keep the integrated WM and OM landscape moving in the right direction.
  • Bring structured thinking to complex or ambiguous scenarios, helping both operational and technical stakeholders reach decisions they can stand behind.
  • Champion the combined WM and OM solution as the operational backbone of client Logistics, always with one eye on end-to-end delivery rather than system-level metrics.

Skills required:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent background in IT, Business, Supply Chain or a similar field.
  • At least five years of experience in functional advisory, implementation or operations roles with meaningful exposure to WM, OM or both, preferably in a global logistics or supply chain setting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WM. Solid working knowledge of Manhattan Active OM is equally important given how closely the two platforms are delivered together.
  • A proven ability to work credibly with both operations teams and IT, earning the trust of people who speak very different professional languages.
  • A real understanding of warehouse operations and how order management feeds into and out of warehouse execution.
  • Familiarity with change and release processes, configuration lifecycles and testing practices including QA and UAT.
  • Clear communication skills that work just as well in a warehouse team briefing as in a project governance meeting.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
