Face-to-Face Interviews: Since this position must be reported to the office 5 days a week, in-person interviews are required after Microsoft meeting.
Role Summary:
Lead the modernization of enterprise reporting by migrating WebFOCMainframe assets to a Microsoft Power BI environment. Deliver robust dashboards, paginated reports, and data models across DB2 and Oracle data platforms while ensuring performance, governance, and accuracy for Finance/ERP stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and paginated reports
- Convert WebFOCMainframe FOCUS queries and logic into T-SQL and Power BI solutions
- Build and optimize complex SQL/T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources: IBM DB2, Oracle Data Warehouse, ODS, data lakes, and MDM
- Model data using star and snowflake schemas to support OLAP-style analytics
- Administer Power BI workspaces, datasets, dataflows, gateways, and access/security
- Partner with Finance/ERP teams to deliver accurate, audit-ready financial and operational reporting
- Implement and adhere to data governance, quality, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with mainframe teams to source and process flat files
- Troubleshoot and tune performance across the BI stack
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics
- 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power BI development
- Strong SQL/T-SQL development skills
- IBM DB2 database experience
- WebFOCMainframe FOCUS development experience
- Experience working with mainframe flat files and related programming environments
- Financial/ERP reporting experience
- Proven work with data warehousing concepts: ODS, data lakes, MDM, star/snowflake schemas, and OLAP
- Oracle Data Warehouse experience
- Power BI dataflows and workspace administration experience
- Ability to translate WebFOCMainframe FOCUS logic into T-SQL-based solutions
- Experience integrating multiple data sources with sound data governance practices
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
Nice to Have (Preferred):
- Performance tuning for DB2/T-SQL/Power BI
- Experience with enterprise metadata and lineage tools
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
