The Software Engineer will support the development, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications. This position will work on a combination of new development, application modernization, systems integration, and production support initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a versatile full-stack developer with strong C# and .NET experience, along with hands-on experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
This is a hybrid position requiring weekly onsite work in the Cleveland area. Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise software applications.
- Build and enhance backend services and application functionality using C# and the .NET framework.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and other application services.
- Modernize existing applications and transition legacy functionality to current web technologies.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support when needed.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, technical teams, and other developers to translate requirements into effective software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing application support.
- Follow established development, security, data privacy, and software quality standards.
- Support applications that may interact with protected health information and other sensitive data.
Required Qualifications
- Professional software development experience using C# and .NET.
- Experience developing modern web applications with React and/or Angular.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience designing, developing, or consuming RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of full-stack application development principles.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary development environment.
- Ability to work onsite in the Cleveland area on a weekly basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, or newer versions of .NET.
- Experience with Entity Framework or another object-relational mapping framework.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating applications to newer technology platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated testing.
- Experience supporting enterprise, healthcare, clinical, or other mission-critical applications.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working in an environment involving PHI, PII, or other regulated data.
