Analytics Engineer (Remote)

Compensation: $110,000 Base Salary + 10% Annual Bonus
Location: Remote (U.S. Based)

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to help build and maintain a trusted data foundation that drives data-informed decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will partner with product, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to design scalable data models, transform complex datasets into reliable analytical assets, and enable high-quality reporting, machine learning, and AI-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

Data Modeling

  • Partner with business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse models.
  • Implement modern data modeling practices to support analytics and reporting needs.

Data Transformation

  • Clean, transform, validate, and enrich data to create high-quality datasets for analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.
  • Develop and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product teams, software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Translate business needs into scalable and maintainable data models.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, reliability, and accessibility across analytical datasets.
  • Support data governance initiatives and best practices.

Performance & Scalability

  • Optimize data pipelines, transformations, and warehouse structures for performance and scalability.
  • Monitor and improve data processes to support growing business demands.

Documentation

  • Maintain clear documentation of data models, transformation logic, lineage, and technical processes.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or a related data-focused role.

Communication Skills

  • Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business objectives into technical solutions.

Technical Skills

Data Warehousing

  • Experience with modern cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Data Modeling

  • Experience with modern data modeling methodologies, including dimensional modeling.

Programming & Querying

  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.

Data Processing & Orchestration

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Luigi, or similar technologies.

Database Technologies

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or comparable platforms.

Version Control

  • Experience using Git and standard software development workflows.

Machine Learning & AI

  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience preparing data for ML model development.
  • Interest in emerging AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and prompt engineering.
