Job Description – Technical Project Manager (Scrum Master & Release Management)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager who brings combined strengths in Agile delivery, Scrum facilitation, and Release Management. The ideal candidate has strong experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, managing delivery schedules, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and orchestrating release cycles in environments that require tight operational discipline and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of WMS modernization initiative including planning, execution, and post-release stabilization.
- Maintain scope, schedules, resource plans, budget visibility, RAID logs, and decision tracking.
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering Leads to ensure alignment on priorities and technical feasibility.
- Drive cross-team coordination across development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendor partners.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Partner with Product to maintain healthy backlogs, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure value-based prioritization.
- Remove blockers, foster continuous improvement, and coach teams on Agile delivery best practices.
- Track team-level metrics (velocity, predictability, throughput, defects) and use data to guide improvements.
Release Management Responsibilities
- Coordinate release planning, release calendars, and cutover plans across multiple application teams.
- Manage non-production environments and align deployment timelines with testing cycles and operational readiness.
- Own release quality gates, change management approvals, release notes, and communication to stakeholders.
- Partner with DevOps to support CI/CD pipeline workflows, deployment orchestration, and rollback strategies.
- Ensure hypercare support and post-release performance validation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in software/IT delivery environments.
- Track record managing delivery cycles within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) frameworks.
- Experience coordinating production releases across distributed technical teams.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and release orchestration workflows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to present to both exec and technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, WMS
- Familiarity with deployment pipelines.
- Experience working with onsite/offshore or vendor implementation partners.
- Certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, ITIL, or SAFe.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, trainic licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
The salary range displays the minimum and maximum targets for this position across all US locations and has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, or variable bonus programs. Final compensation decisions will depend on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate.
