Hiring: Mainframe CICS Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS Engineer to support and maintain CICS environments in a large-scale enterprise mainframe platform. This is a backfill position and open to remote employees. The role involves CICS engineering, system maintenance, performance tuning, and supporting application teams in a 24x7 Sysplex and CICSPlex environment.

Key Skills Required:

Strong experience with CICS Engineering and Administration
Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrades, and maintenance
Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation and dynamic transaction routing
CICS performance tuning, monitoring, and dump analysis
Experience with CICS monitoring tools (Sysview for CICS)
Knowledge of COBOL to support application developers
Experience with Mainframe WebSphere MQ
Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Assembler, COBOL, and REXX
Knowledge of zOS utilities (APF, VSAM, Linklist, LPA, RLS, Coupling Facility)
Experience with CICS Configuration Manager
Familiarity with zOS & CICS Explorer
Understanding of CICS REST Services
Prior application programming experience is a plus
