Job :Database Administrator Consultant

Location :Blythewood, SC 29016, USA

• Primary Location: 10311 Blythewood Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016

• On-site Required (Regional candidates preferred: SC, GA, NC)

• Support 300+ SQL Server databases

• Migrate SQL Server 2019 databases to SQL Server 2022

• Implement High Availability solutions

• Increase Reporting Services & Analysis Services usage

• Strengthen database security posture

• Production support including OS and security updates

• After-hours and weekend support required

• Support Oracle DBA team as needed

• Long-term ongoing assignment

Responsibilities

SQL Server

• Setup and maintain replication & mirroring

• Configure maintenance automation

• Backup & recovery management

• Troubleshoot performance issues (including after-hours)

• SQL Server monitoring

• Install & configure new SQL Servers

• Develop & support data warehouse and cubes (SSAS)

• Migrate databases to SQL Server 2022

• Develop reports using SSRS

• Support SSIS packages

• Develop database standards

• Consult developers on database design

• Support 3rd party vendor databases

Oracle (19c Desired)

• Analyze and support stored procedures & SQL

• Familiarity with Oracle database operations

Business Intelligence

• Design & manage dashboards and reports

• Work with BI tools

Data Modeling

• Develop logical & physical data models using ERwin

• Maintain data dictionaries & documentation

• Ensure scalability, integrity & performance

• Translate business requirements into data models

• Work with both Oracle & MS SQL databases

Required Skills (Ranked)

• 5+ years SQL Server 2019 & 2022

• 5+ years SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

• 5+ years SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

• 5+ years SQL Reports Designer

• 5+ years BI tools & dashboard design

• 5+ years SQL Database Administrator experience

• 2+ years experience with State Government agencies

Required Education

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
