Summary

About This Role

A leading automotive manufacturer is seeking a CW Engineer to lead construction and equipment install/commissioning projects at its Georgetown, KY paint facility (100% onsite). You will investigate project feasibility, develop scopes of work and bid packages, review technical drawings, coordinate and supervise contractors in green-field and brown-field environments, and drive projects to completion against schedule milestones and safety-code compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Create scope of work, bid package, and project specifications
  • Review technical drawings, provide feedback, and negotiate changes
  • Evaluate safety compliance to local and national codes
  • Collaborate with 3rd-party Safety Compliance Contractors
  • Collaborate with multiple groups to design and install equipment and meet project milestones
  • Supervise contractors in a green-field or brown-field work environment
  • Coordinate installation with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers, and equipment manufacturers
  • Develop countermeasures for project delays for timely project completion

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, technical trade certification, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of project management
  • 2+ years of technical drawing review experience
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Bid spec development and contractor negotiation
  • Some management experience (if in the trades)
  • Preferred: OSHA 10/30; automotive/OEM project management experience; automotive paint process experience; ability to understand and calculate utility cost

  • Construction and equipment install/commissioning project leadership from feasibility through completion
  • Project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget development

  • Technical drawing review, feedback, and change negotiation
