Senior Associate, LIS Tool Developer

Life Insurance Solutions (LIS) - Core Modernization Program
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of life insurance products and product functionality, including components, calculations, and value drivers
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, formulas, model building)
  • General understanding of IRS/IRC Sections 7702 and 7702A and related compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain tasks and provide concise updates to cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Excel VBA
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Working knowledge of QA processes, including test scenario design, testing techniques/tools, and analysis of technology impacts
About the Role

The Core Modernization initiative is a strategic effort to transform legacy policy administration technology and enable a more modern, efficient, and scalable platform. The upgraded system will support end-to-end policy lifecycle management, including premium processing, loans, beneficiary changes, claims, and policy servicing.

As a Senior Associate, LIS Tool Developer, you will support the development, testing, and maintenance of Excel-based scenario testing tools used to validate product behavior within the modernized system. Your expertise in Universal Life and/or Whole Life products will directly contribute to ensuring accurate policy values and supporting a successful technology transition.
Responsibilities
  • Design, enhance, and maintain Excel-based scenario testing tools for Retail Life product configuration and lifecycle validation
  • Build, test, and refine models to ensure accurate value outputs in the new policy administration system
  • Collaborate closely with automation teams to integrate automation capabilities and ensure seamless tool interaction
  • Monitor tool performance and implement improvements to accuracy, usability, and efficiency
  • Provide clear documentation and communicate insights to product, testing, and modernization teams
  • Support modernization efforts by ensuring testing tools remain aligned with evolving product and system requirements
