Senior in Apache SOLR and Lucidworks

Introduction

As a Senior in Apache SOLR and Lucidworks, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing search functionalities using Apache SOLR and Lucidworks. You will configure Apache SOLR instances for performance, scale, and accuracy, as well as design efficient data ingestion pipelines to feed SOLR indexes with real-time and batch data from various sources. Additionally, you will work on improving search results through query refinement and customer ranking algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Query analysis/optimization
• Monitor performance, SOLR health/logs
• Maintenance, SOLR version upgrade, patch installation
• Building efficient, scalable search systems to enhance user experience
• Strong background in search technologies like Elasticsearch
• Experience working with large data and custom search

Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Around or more than 8 years of experience in Apache SOLR and Lucidworks
• Search engineer with expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing search functionalities using Apache SOLR and Lucidworks
• Experience configuring Apache SOLR instances for performance, scale, and accuracy
• Ability to design efficient data ingestion pipelines for real-time and batch data from various sources
• Knowledge of improving search results through query refinement and customer ranking algorithms

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Apache Spark
• Expertise in data processing
