What You'll Do
  • Design structural systems for a variety of building projects, from renovations to large, complex facilities
  • Prepare structural calculations, engineering analyses, reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Develop construction documents using Revit and structural analysis/design software
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical teams to deliver coordinated solutions
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration activities
  • Conduct field observations and site visits to better understand construction practices and ensure design intent is achieved
  • Perform quality control reviews and help maintain high technical standards across projects
  • Apply innovative problem-solving skills to develop practical, efficient design solutions
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff and support project team development
  • Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and evolving structural engineering practices

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience contributing to large projects or leading portions of moderate-sized projects
  • Strong understanding of structural design codes including ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and related standards
  • Proficiency in Revit and structural analysis/design software such as RAM, Enercalc, ETABS, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to review technical work and provide guidance to junior engineers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Why Join RS&H?
  • Work on nationally recognized and technically challenging projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a highly supportive environment
  • Employee-owned culture where your contributions directly impact the firm's success
  • Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and leadership development
  • A firm committed to innovation, technical excellence, and creating meaningful impact through design
