Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst to lead a complex data transformation initiative within the U.S. Commercial Data & Analytics organization.
This is a hybrid PM/BA role requiring someone who can understand data flows end to end, assess the business and technical impacts of data changes, and develop a detailed execution plan.
The initial focus will be on discovery, analysis, and project planning through the end of 2026, with the potential to lead full execution through June 2027.
This is NOT a traditional project manager role. The manager needs someone with strong analytical capabilities who can get into the details of data transformations while independently owning the overall project.
Must-Have Skills
1. Data Transformation Experience
Proven experience supporting or leading complex data transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of end-to-end data flows, upstream/downstream dependencies, and data models.
Ability to identify how changes to data impact reporting, analytics, business processes, and downstream systems.
2. Technical Project Management
Experience building detailed project plans from discovery through execution.
Strong resource planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and timeline management.
Ability to coordinate data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile environments.
3. Business Analysis / Data Analysis
Strong analytical skills and experience conducting data impact assessments.
Ability to document current-state versus future-state data changes.
Strong Excel skills for data comparisons, impact analysis, and documentation.
Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify potential gaps.
4. Stakeholder Management & Ownership
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with business and technical teams.
Experience leading cross-functional meetings and steering committee updates.
Ability to independently drive projects with minimal oversight.
Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to challenge assumptions.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) / BigQuery experience.
Hands-on SQL experience for querying and validating datasets.
Cloud data experience (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience.
Commercial data experience involving sales, shipments, products, and reporting.
Experience assessing impacts to analytical models.
Scrum Master or Agile delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities
Map end-to-end data flows and identify impacted stakeholders and systems.
Analyze current-state versus future-state data and document transformation impacts.
Identify downstream impacts to data models, reporting, and analytics.
Build a comprehensive project plan with milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and deadlines.
Coordinate technical and business teams throughout the transformation.
Lead stakeholder meetings, provide status updates, and proactively manage risks.
Support resource planning, including identifying required data engineering and analytical resources.
