Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, safety, operational performance, and financial results of the manufacturing facility. This role oversees production, quality, cost, delivery, maintenance, and workforce performance while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and corporate standards. The Plant Manager drives continuous improvement, operational excellence, and employee engagement to meet business objectives. You will be overseeing operations of 2-4 employees directly (40+ total in the plant) and a total revenue of $12-$15 million YoY.
  • Champion Safety, Health & Compliance by leading a zero?incident culture, ensuring OSHA/CNESST/PSM/RMP compliance, enforcing PPE and policies, and driving audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Direct End?to?End Plant Operations, overseeing production, maintenance, warehousing, logistics, and shipping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution.
  • Plan and Execute Production Strategically by developing schedules and workforce plans that meet customer demand, quality standards, and business objectives.
  • Own Operational Performance & KPIs, ensuring targets for safety, quality, cost, delivery, efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction are consistently achieved.
  • Manage Financial Performance including plant budgets, operating expenses, CAPEX, P&L accountability, and cost?reduction initiatives aligned with AOP and revenue goals.
  • Ensure Product Quality & Regulatory Standards by maintaining and improving quality systems, resolving non?conformities, and addressing customer complaints.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement through Lean, 5S, Kaizen, data analysis, and process optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce risk and waste.
  • Lead, Develop, and Engage People by recruiting, training, coaching, setting expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and building a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Oversee Maintenance, Engineering & Capital Projects to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, facility integrity, and successful execution of upgrades and installations.
  • Communicate & Collaborate with Stakeholders, providing clear updates to senior leadership and coordinating effectively with customers, vendors, and cross?functional and regional teams.

Years of Experience: 5-10 years of plant management experience in a production/manufacturing environment

  • Leadership: Having overseen employee daily operations and worked with executive leaders
  • Cross team communication – Daily communication with leaders and team members will be required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Secondary (Nice to Have) Skills:
  • Any ERP Experience (SPG uses Sage 300)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
