Job Details

Role: Cloud Security Engineer (Google Cloud Platform).

Location: Remote USA.

Duration: Long-Term

C2C/W2.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and security-focused Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in certificate lifecycle management, DNS configuration, and preferably hands-on experience with DigiCert. This role is critical to ensuring secure communication across cloud services and maintaining reliable domain name resolution within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and rotation.
  • Administer and configure DNS zones and records using Google Cloud Platform’s Cloud DNS and third-party DNS providers.
  • Integrate and automate certificate management workflows using DigiCert APIs or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enforce encryption standards and certificate hygiene.
  • Troubleshoot certificate-related issues across web applications, APIs, and internal services.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for certificate expiry and DNS health.
  • Maintain documentation for certificate processes, DNS configurations, and automation scripts.
  • Support compliance and audit requirements related to encryption and domain management.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or security engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SSL/TLS certificate management and DNS administration.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services, especially Cloud DNS and IAM.
  • Experience with DigiCert or similar certificate authorities (e.g., Sectigo, Let's Encrypt).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Understanding of PKI concepts, DNSSEC, and domain validation methods.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade DNS solutions and certificate automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
