About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Gas Controls Validation Engineer / Electronic Controls
Engineer to join our engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for entry level candidates up to
professionals with 6 8 years of experience who have a background in Electronic Control
Systems, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics.
The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, self-driven, and passionate about validation,
troubleshooting, and control system development. You will work closely with cross-
functional teams to validate software features, troubleshoot system issues, and support
engine/genset control system development.
Key Responsibilities
Perform validation and troubleshooting of electronic control systems using open-loop
test benches (e.g., LUIS Gen2/Gen3).
Conduct bench testing, issue replication, root cause analysis, and validation of
software features.
Understand and navigate MATLAB/Simulink models to interpret software and
system functionality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into Design
Change Requests (DCRs).
Validate software releases developed from DCR implementations.
Read and interpret electrical harness wiring diagrams and schematics.
Work with J1939 CAN communication protocols and related engineering tools.
Support engine and genset testing activities, including troubleshooting control system
issues in test cell environments.
Learn and support calibration development, review, validation, and release processes.
Collaborate with software, systems, validation, and product engineering teams to
deliver high-quality control system solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering,
Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
6 8 years of experience in Electronic Controls, Embedded Systems, Validation, or
Automotive Controls.
Basic understanding of electronic control systems and embedded software validation.
Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
Knowledge of CAN/J1939 communication protocols.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently after initial guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LUIS Gen2/Gen3 or similar HIL/Open Loop Test Benches.
Exposure to Engine Controls, Genset Controls, or Off-Highway Vehicle Controls.
Familiarity with ETools, CAN analyzers, or diagnostic tools.
Experience with Design Change Requests (DCRs) and software validation processes.
Knowledge of calibration development and release processes.
Exposure to embedded software testing and validation.
