Pay Rate: $60 - $70 per hour

Location: Cupertino, CA - Remote Role

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Technical Operations professional to help our Data Platform / Cloud team hire senior software engineering talent and keep the team's technical documentation current. You will own key parts of the technical hiring process, from resume screening through interview coordination and feedback, and partner with engineers to produce and maintain documentation that helps the team run smoothly. Prior hands-on software engineering experience is not required, but it is a plus when evaluating senior-level technical candidates and understanding the systems the team documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Screen resumes and applications for senior-level software engineering roles on the Data Platform / Cloud team, applying the team's technical criteria and level expectations.


• Conduct initial interviews (phone screens or first-round conversations) with candidates to assess background, communication, and fit before they move to technical panels.


• Coordinate and sit in on technical interview panels, take structured notes, and write clear, evidence-based feedback for hiring committees and hiring managers.


• Partner with hiring Managers and Engineering leads to calibrate what the role requirements look like for the team, and help keep interview questions and rubrics current.


• Track candidates through the pipeline, follow up with interviewers for timely feedback, and keep hiring dashboards and trackers up to date.


• Serve as a point of contact for candidates during the process, providing timely updates and a strong candidate experience.


• Write, edit, and maintain technical documentation for the team, such as onboarding guides, runbooks, architecture overviews, and process documentation, working closely with engineers to keep content accurate.


• Identify gaps in existing documentation and drive updates as systems and processes change.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience in technical recruiting, technical program management, or a similar operations role supporting a software engineering organization.


• Ability to read a software engineering resume and job description closely enough to screen for relevant experience, even without a personal engineering background.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort giving direct, well-organized feedback to hiring managers and interview panels.


• Experience coordinating multi-step processes with several stakeholders (such as an interview loop) and keeping them on schedule.


• Comfortable writing and editing clear technical or process documentation for a technical audience.


• Organized and detail-oriented, with experience using applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, or similar tools to track pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an Engineering Program Manager, Software Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a closely adjacent technical role, especially useful for evaluating Engineering Talent and understanding Platform and Cloud concepts.


• Familiarity with Data Platforms, Cloud Infrastructure, or distributed systems terminology, even without hands-on engineering experience.


• Experience gathering requirements for and identifying Talent specifically for Engineering roles, where the bar for evaluation is higher, and pipelines are smaller.


• Experience building or maintaining technical documentation systems (wikis, internal docs sites, style guides).


• Familiarity with structured interviewing practices, such as competency-based interviewing or calibrated scorecards.


• Experience with recruiting or documentation tooling such as Greenhouse, Lever, Confluence, or Notion.
