Enterprise PMO Project Manager | Remote (CA profiles preferred)
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end management of IT and software development projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, & project sponsors to drive successful outcomes.
- Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide regular project updates, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project impact.
- Escalate critical issues and risks appropriately to leadership.
Agile & Waterfall Project Management
- Manage projects utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Coordinate sprint planning, backlog reviews, project milestones, and release activities as needed.
- Monitor project execution and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Resource & Vendor Management
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
- Manage project resource allocation and resolve resource conflicts.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to project commitments.
Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with PMO standards, processes, and best practices.
- Maintain project documentation including project charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, & closure documents.
- Monitor project deliverables to ensure quality standards and business requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience managing IT and software development projects.
- Proven experience delivering medium-to-large-scale technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or other Project Management certifications.
- Experience working within an Enterprise PMO environment.
- Experience managing software development, digital transformation, or enterprise technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and project governance practices.
