Role: AWS Cloud Architect
Duration: 12month contract
Location: Remote but need local to MA-No relocation
Visa: H1B Transfer, -EAD, GC-EAD, and USC
Overview:
The DOT is seeking a handson AWS Cloud Architect to support cloud modernization, migrations, and infrastructure automation initiatives. This role requires a strong architectural background combined with the ability to design and build solutions directly, not just provide guidance.
Key Requirements:
Strong experience as an AWS Cloud Architect in enterprise environments
Terraform expertise (critical): designing and implementing infrastructure as code for AWS
Deep knowledge of AWS core services, including:
EC2, S3, VPC, IAM
RDS / Aurora
CloudWatch
Experience leading or supporting cloud migrations and cloud transformation efforts
Strong background in automation and infrastructure standardization
Ability to translate architecture designs into handson implementations
Experience working in regulated or largescale public sector environments is a plus
Role Expectations:
Architect and implement AWS cloud solutions using Terraform
Support cloud migration initiatives and legacy-to-cloud transformations
Build reusable, automated infrastructure patterns and modules
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure scalability, security, and reliability
Provide architectural guidance while remaining actively handson
