Job Description:
Lead Java Developer

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

Role Overview

In this position, the successful candidate will design and implement complex IT solutions that are in line with the enterprise architecture roadmap. The role involves working within a team to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that provide value to the organization and its customers while achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver well-designed, quality software in either an agile or waterfall environment.
  • Collaborate with a team to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Understand and interpret business requirements to develop proposed solutions.
  • Act as the primary technical team owner for projects and their technical deliverables.
  • Build and maintain code repositories and manage code migrations using CI/CD strategies such as GIT, SVN, and Jenkins.
  • Create and maintain architecture for Restful API using Spring Boot.
  • Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers in databases like Oracle and DB2.
Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field/experience is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for working with technology teams to deliver business and technical solutions. This includes at least 5 years of experience with DevOps, continuous integration, container-based applications, and cloud deployment architectures. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience leading development team members is also required.

Technical Skills: Candidates must have proficiency in Java, REST API, Fuse, Kafka, and JSON. Experience is also required with IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM Integration Service Bus (IIB) / ACE, with a focus on back-end development of web services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in working on initiatives that involve business segments.
  • Expert understanding of agile concepts and a working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with Fraud Technology.
  • Hands-on software development experience in Java with knowledge of Object-Oriented Design.
  • In-depth understanding of the web development process, including design, development, and deployment.
  • Experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, REST API development, and web services.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with a RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL.
  • Experience with the implementation of Microservices using Spring Boot and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with the development of RESTful web services using JAX-RS and Swagger for API documentation.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms for time and memory complexity reduction.
  • Experience with JWT mechanism for authentication and authorization.
  • Experience with Apache Maven.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and products like Cloud Run, Terraform, Big Data, and Big Query.
  • Knowledgeable with IBM MQ Websphere.
