SAIC is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Developer to join our team and begin an exciting and challenging career.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an active member of the software development team participating in daily stand-ups.
  • Establishes database management systems, standards, requirements, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design and architecture, logical database, capacity planning and external data interface specification.
  • Architect, design and develop database solutions for a web based application suited to stakeholders requirements utilizing cloud native services and architecture.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of application.
  • Document software designs, which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc.
  • Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include Visual Studio, Azure Devops and GIT.
  • Implement security and data protection.
  • Implement long term solutions and building blocks within the agile framework for improved reusability.
  • Provide development support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production.
  • Apply and promote good software engineering practices such as test automation, modularization, and simplification.
  • Collaborate, coordinate with colleagues on various solutions and problems.
  • Comfortable with Windows Operating systems and environments.


Qualifications
?
Required:
  • BS Computer Science and minimum 5 years' software development experience. (Four additional years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Ability to pass background check and maintain status for contract that requires ship.
  • System design and development with Microsoft .NET environment.
  • Solid experience with MS SQL server and Azure SQL databases.
  • Solid experience with SQL.
  • Experience with XML and jSON.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as bash, python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Azure Devops and pipelines; Agile development using Azure Devops.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and a delivery mindset.
  • Understanding of REST and SOAP API development.
  • Should participate in Design/Code and System review using agile development process.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and able to work in a team which consists developers with different skillsets.


Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
