Title: Need Java Architect

Location:  Berkeley Heights, NJ (All 5 days Onsite)

Contract – W2

We are seeking a visionary Senior Java Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise applications. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, defining technical strategies and selecting optimal technology stacks. This role requires a hands-on leader who can mentor engineering teams, enforce best coding practices, and ensure system scalability, security, and high performance.

Core Responsibilities

• System Design: Translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-availability distributed software architectures.
• Tech Stack Evolution: Evaluate, select, and integrate appropriate Java frameworks, libraries, cloud services, and database technologies.
• Prototyping: Build robust Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new technologies, frameworks, and architecture patterns.
• Performance Tuning: Diagnose system bottlenecks, optimize concurrency, and ensure low-latency, high-throughput application performance.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce strict security standards, including data encryption, identity management (OAuth/OIDC), and vulnerability mitigation.
• Technical Governance: Define and enforce clean coding practices, design patterns, documentation standards, and rigorous code review processes.
• Team Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to senior and junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with product managers, DevOps teams, and executive stakeholders to align the technical roadmap with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 8–10+ years in Java/JEE development, with 2+ years acting as a formal Software or Java Architect.
• Java Ecosystem: Expert knowledge of Java (Core, Advanced, Concurrency) and frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate.
• Cloud & DevOps: Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
