Okta Engineer Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IAM/Identity & Access Management, with strong hands-on experience in Okta.
• Strong expertise in Okta Workforce Identity Cloud, including SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, and Adaptive MFA.
• Experience implementing and managing SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SCIM, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows, application integrations, provisioning/deprovisioning, and automated identity lifecycle processes.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid identity environments.
• Experience configuring Okta Application integrations, authentication policies, sign-on policies, access policies, and security controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot SSO, MFA, provisioning, federation, and authentication issues.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or scripting for IAM automation and administration.
• Knowledge of RBAC, least-privilege access, identity governance, and Zero Trust security principles.
• Experience with IAM monitoring, audit requirements, incident response, and security best practices.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to work with security, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
