User Experience Designer

• Create elegant and intuitive user experiences by incorporating user insights, business requirements and technical constraints.
• Help lead the planning and strategic phases of a migration project.
• Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups with detailed visual design specifications for mobile and web interfaces throughout the design process.
• Independently deliver UX solutions for problems of large scope and complexity.
• Work through ambiguity and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Be a champion for user-centered design by partnering with researchers to test solutions with users; and be willing to build lightweight prototypes and conduct quick, scrappy user testing when required.
• Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.

3. Customer research or design hypothesis for prototypes, including reasoning on how ideas will work on edge cases

1. Experience with Shopify
2. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Axure
3. Conversion and abandonment rate experience

• 6+ years of UX or UI design experience
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devices
• 6+ years of rapid prototyping experience
• 6+ years of experience with design tools including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and Axure
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
• Customer research or design hypothesis for prototypes, including edge-case reasoning
• Customer experience or research using platforms such as user testing tools or scout

• Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., usability studies, user interviews, contextual inquiry)
• Strong visual design skills to complement UX expertise
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Ability to drive the design review cycle and independently close on design requirements
• Strong track record of iterative design in close collaboration with product and engineering teams
