Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a talented Observability Architect to join our Client's dynamic team.

Job at a glance:

This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 6 months but is planned for extension and would ideally convert to FTE

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Observability Architect to lead an enterprise observability modernization initiative. This individual will provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and optimization of monitoring, telemetry, discovery, and CMDB processes across a complex hybrid infrastructure environment.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in observability architecture, Dynatrace, ServiceNow CMDB, and enterprise discovery solutions, while helping define and execute a future-state observability strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Observability Modernization

Lead implementation and adoption of OpenText OPTIC Data Lake.
Define and execute observability modernization initiatives.
Consolidate monitoring and telemetry data across enterprise platforms.
Establish standards and best practices for monitoring, telemetry, and operational visibility.

Monitoring & Platform Integration

Expand integration between Dynatrace and OpenText monitoring platforms.
Improve visibility across infrastructure and application environments.
Develop scalable monitoring and instrumentation approaches.
Recommend architectural improvements that increase operational efficiency and platform effectiveness.

CMDB & Discovery

Modernize integration between UCMDB and ServiceNow CMDB.
Improve Configuration Item (CI) reconciliation and data quality.
Develop discovery and topology management strategies that support accurate service mapping and infrastructure visibility.

Technical Leadership

Lead architecture discussions and implementation planning.
Partner with infrastructure, operations, and application teams.
Identify monitoring gaps and future-state opportunities.
Support observability roadmap development and execution.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in observability, enterprise monitoring, infrastructure architecture, or IT operations.
Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace.
Experience working with ServiceNow CMDB and discovery processes.
Experience with infrastructure discovery, topology mapping, and configuration management.
Experience supporting large-scale hybrid infrastructure environments.
Experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
