Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Application Lead with 15+ years of proven success in Application Development and Enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess strong end-to-end SDLC expertise, deep technical and analytical capabilities, and the ability to provide granular-level technical leadership while demonstrating strong customer acumen.

This role requires balancing hands-on technical oversight with delivery excellence, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement across enterprise application landscapes.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Application Development / Application Enhancements.
  • Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex application initiatives.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Solid knowledge of application architecture concepts and integration patterns.
  • Strong database and performance analysis skills.
  • Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Exposure to cloud and DevOps practices is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Leadership
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across design, development, enhancements, and production support.
  • Drive deep-dive analysis of complex technical issues and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
  • Conduct code/design reviews and mentor senior developers and technical teams.
  • Lead technical decision-making at module and solution level.
  1. End-to-End SDLC Ownership
  • Lead and oversee full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities: Requirement, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Support.
  • Ensure delivery alignment with Agile / Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Govern release management, change management, and production readiness.
  • Improve development and support processes to enhance quality and predictability.
  1. Application Development & Enhancements
  • Drive large-scale development and enhancement initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Perform impact analysis and solution feasibility assessments.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Identify automation and modernization opportunities.
  1. Analytical & Problem-Solving Excellence
  • Analyze complex business and technical problems to propose scalable solutions.
  • Perform data-driven decision making and risk mitigation planning.
  • Reduce recurring defects and improve release stability.
  1. Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to customers and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong customer acumen and alignment to business priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on delivery, risks, and improvement plans.
