One of our clients in the government domain is seeking a SAS Programmer. This role requires a high-level technical specialist capable of independently analyzing ambiguous conversion issues, designing Windows specific solutions, and providing expert level troubleshooting support to the R&P modernization team.

Skills Required:

10 years of Experience in Designing efficient data manipulation workflows using DATA steps, macros, and advanced SAS functions.
10 years of Experience in SAS 9.x on Windows, with specific experience adapting mainframe SAS logic to Windows file system conventions and directory structures.
10 years of Experience converting or re-engineering SAS programs originally designed for z/OS or other mainframe environments.
10 years of Experience in integrating SAS with Windows OS level operations are required, including automated file movement, rename logic, and email generation.
10 years of Experience and Ability to analyze and remediate SAS code dependencies on mainframe JCL constructs (e.g., DD statements, dataset naming conventions, DISP parameters.

Note:

Candidates should also be comfortable working with PowerShell or similar scripting tools to support automation and orchestration of SAS processes (preferred but not required).
