Windows Engineer (F&B Point-of-Sale Engineer)

Long term

• System imaging, Windows OS installations, OS configuration, drivers/BIOS updates, application installation/upgrades, windows patching, SQL installation and configuration

• Troubleshoot of Tablet and peripherals connectivity.

• Network connectivity (cell and Wi-Fi) setup and troubleshoot

• Able to create and/or update technical procedure documents

• Experience to update, upgrade and maintain system with Intune and SCCM

• Good to have experience writing/troubleshooting Power shell scripts

• Required to travel as necessary to crew bases and/or aboard the trains to provide hands-on support

• Need good communication skills

• Be able to carry heavy loads, up to, 50 lbs.

• Work at Amtrak’s Lab in DC or Depot in Philly as required

• Be able to travel to various Amtrak locations as required

• High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree equivalent to Computer Science/Engineering

• 2+ years of experience building Windows based systems, preferably Point-of-Sale (POS) equipment

• Optionally, 1 year of experience PowerShell Scripting
