Junior .Net Developer

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Software Developer will design, code, test, modify, and debug computer software applications. The selected candidate will research and analyze program or system issues, develop technical documentation, and translate business requirements into secure, maintainable software solutions. This role also supports the configuration and maintenance of the GenTax® Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) application.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, modify, and debug software applications.
• Research and analyze software and system issues.
• Translate business requirements into secure and maintainable code.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of the GenTax® COTS application.
• Collaborate with software development teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
• Follow established software development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• or (Permanent Resident).
• Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university in:
• Computer Science
• Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Information Technology
• Software Engineering
• Or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within a software development organization.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to quickly learn and support enterprise COTS applications.
• Familiarity with debugging, testing, and software documentation.

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be a local Metro Atlanta candidate.
• Must be willing to relocate to Georgia for the duration of the contract if not currently residing in Georgia.
• Must successfully pass:
• Criminal background check
• Fingerprinting
• Georgia Department of Revenue compliance verification
• Must be compliant with all Georgia state tax obligations.
• Candidates with overdue or unpaid Georgia taxes will not be considered.
• Candidates with felony convictions (regardless of when they occurred) will not be considered.

Education

Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
