Job DescriptionThe person in this role is responsible for assisting with IT processes and planning, administrative duties, equipment purchasing and preparation, employee technical support, IT software and infrastructure budgeting, assistance with Global Education Center (GEC) activities including scheduling software administration, and miscellaneous support as needed. This role ultimately helps students become disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church and their communities.
This position reports to the Director of Technology Operations and provides daily support to staff. The Technology Operations Support (TOS) role will be responsible for Equipment purchasing and Preparation which includes ordering and managing equipment for employees via the service catalogue, preparing and configuring new computers for deployment, ensuring seamless employee transitions to new equipment and providing necessary support, and image and process returned computers. Additionally, the TOS will work to resolve any technical escalations the employees submit and handle them in a timely manner. They will also be assisting with the GEC technology activities, including administration and new iterations of the scheduling software. Lastly, they will assist with IT software and Infrastructure Budgeting by assisting with the creation and management of department budgets, managing and tracking spending against budget forecasts, and support of the preparation of financial reports and budget presentations.
Working closely with the BYU-Pathway Technical Operations team, the goal for the technical TOS is to ensure smooth technology operations for employees.
Important: This part-time position typically works (Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is an on-site position

Responsibilities1. Equipment Purchasing and Preparation:
- Order and manage equipment procurement for employees via the Service Catalog.
- Prepare and configure new computers for deployment.
- Ensure seamless employee transition to new equipment, providing necessary support.
- Image and process returned computers for loaner.
2. Employee Technical Support:
- Prompt and effective troubleshooting assistance.
- Assist software acquisition, set up, and use.
- Facilitate Conference Room technology questions and challenges.
3. IT Hardware and Software Budgeting:
- Manage and track spending against budget forecasts.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and budget presentations.
4. Assist with IT Processes and Planning:
- Provide calendar support, including scheduling and coordinating meetings
- Provide meeting management services, including agenda preparation, note taking, and follow up
- Draft and edit email and other communications
- Create presentations, diagrams, spreadsheets, and other documentation
- Provide other miscellaneous support as needed
5. Assist with GEC Activities:
- Provide Admin Support to the scheduling software globally
- Drive best practices, ideas, and scalability of the scheduling model
- Innovate on data intake to provide reporting on GEC use
QualificationsSkills
- Technical Training: Ability to provide basic technical training to peers.
- Technical Support: Familiar with troubleshooting and support for various IT issues.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage equipment and support tasks effectively.
- Software and Hardware Management: Experience with setting up and configuring computers and software.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and students.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Knowledge
- Technology Education: Studying Technology, administrative assistance, finance, and/or Business.
- Technology Certifications: A plus, Network Plus, Microsoft, ITIL Foundation, and/or Google IT Support Professional Certified
- Software Systems: Working Knowledge of software systems and IT infrastructure.
- Budgeting: Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management.
Experience
- Technical Support: Experience in technical support roles
- Equipment Management: Experience in IT equipment purchasing and preparation.
- Collaboration: Experience working in group projects or team-oriented environments.
- Project Management: Experience in IT processes, planning, software, infrastructure, and budgeting.
