Data Engineer

Location: Eagan, Minnesota (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking two intermediate Data Engineers to support the build of a new Google Cloud Platform-based data platform and establish standardized ELT patterns. This role is integral to supporting key deliverables that require new data ingestion pipelines and platform capabilities. The position involves working heavily with Google Cloud Platform Composer, Dataflow, and BigQuery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build ELT pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Develop scalable data ingestion and transformation processes.
• Utilize Composer, Dataflow, BigQuery, SQL, and Python for data movement and orchestration.
• Contribute to the building and enhancement of the new enterprise data platform.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and senior engineers on platform design and implementation.
• Ensure the data quality, performance, and scalability of pipelines.
• Manage work direction, influence, and provide feedback to other team members.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience is required. A High School Diploma or GED is also required.

Experience: This role requires 2-4 years of hands-on experience building solutions in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Additional Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

• Established presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare or PBM industry experience.
• Data warehousing experience.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience working in modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with data modeling and dimensional design.
• Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI).
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and shifts outside of core business hours as needed for technical support or project needs. The ability to travel up to 5% of the time may be necessary.
