Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with API expertise to bridge business requirements and technical API development. The role involves gathering requirements, defining API contracts, mapping data between systems, and producing technical documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI). The BSA will collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure seamless system integrations and high-quality API delivery in an Agile environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Gather and analyze business requirements for API-based integrations.
· Define and document API specifications including endpoints, request/response payloads, headers, and error handling.
· Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
· Analyze system workflows and perform data mapping and transformation between applications.
· Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to translate business needs into technical API requirements.
· Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage API tasks in Agile tools such as Jira.
· Support API testing and validation, ensuring functionality, performance, and security standards.
· Assist in defect triage, troubleshooting, and integration issue resolution.
· Ensure proper documentation of integration processes and system dependencies.
