Senior Data Engineering Lead

Senior Data Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading data-driven initiatives and implementing advanced analytical solutions within the Nuclear IT division. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and nuclear industry knowledge to drive decision-making and optimize operations.

Role: Senior Data Engineering Lead

Location: Juno Beach FL (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design, development, and deployment of data and analytics solutions to support nuclear operations and decision-making.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to understand data needs and develop effective solutions.

·         Implement data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes to ensure high-quality and accessible data.

·         Design and build strong foundational data pipelines for AI initiatives.

·         Experience with real-time and IOT data is a plus.

·         Experience with different data management efforts (Data quality, Data Governance, Retention, Privacy and Data Security)

·         Develop advanced analytical models and algorithms to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

·         Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.

·         Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in data practices.

·         Provide level 3 support to current Power BI reports.

·         Knowledge in Gen AI is a plus.

·         Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

·         Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes and data visualization tools - Power BI, etc.,

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

·         Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to nuclear data management and security.

Required Skills:

·         Expert knowledge with with Oracle, Databricks, SQL-SQL, PostgreSQL,

·         Hands on knowledge on Power BI Architect, AWS DMS, Microsoft Co-pilot, Microsoft Studio.

·         Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in the nuclear sector is a plus.

·         Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Google Cloud Platform) and their data services.

·         Familiarity with Open Search and Neo4J

Job Duties & Responsibilities

·         Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems

·         Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology

·         Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

·         Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction

·         Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

·         Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems

·         Designs, develops and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

·         Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation

·         Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required

·         Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
