Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft applications: Focus on building integrations to connect systems and data sources using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Database integration: This is a key focus. Responsibilities include connecting to and interacting with various database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) using the MuleSoft Database Connector. This might involve managing schema definitions (tables, stored procedures, functions), as indicated in the First Premier Bank job description.
MuleSoft's API-led connectivity and proficiency in Java and related frameworks. Experience with database integration and SQL is needed. Additional requirements include proficiency in DataWeave, experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and experience with Agile development methodologies.
Data transformation: Using DataWeave to convert data between different formats (e.g., XML, JSON, CSV).
API management: Designing and developing APIs using MuleSoft's platform.
Performance optimization: Monitoring and tuning MuleSoft applications to ensure optimal performance, particularly when dealing with large datasets.
Troubleshooting and support: Resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality of production systems.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, project managers) and stakeholders.
Documentation: Creating technical specifications, integration workflows, and deployment procedures.
Adherence to best practices: Following MuleSoft development standards and best practices.
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: Expertise in using MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and CloudHub.
Database technologies: Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
DataWeave: Strong proficiency in data transformation using DataWeave.
API development: Experience with API design and implementation, including RESTful and SOAP web services.
Programming languages: Familiarity with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
Integration patterns: Understanding of various integration patterns (e.g., ESB, SOA, Microservices).
Agile methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Testing: Unit and integration testing using MUnit.
