Business Systems Analyst (Finance Systems)
Location: Framingham, MA (Onsite)
Duration: 3-month W2 contract (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $50–$62/hour (based on experience)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support finance systems, reporting, and process optimization initiatives for a leading organization. This role will partner closely with Finance and business stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline workflows, and improve system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance departments and business units to gather requirements for reporting, dashboards, and process improvements
- Design and develop reports using Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Power Apps, Fastpath, and SSRS
- Analyze and improve business processes and workflows; partner with third parties as needed to implement enhancements
- Lead initiatives to optimize systems and reduce manual processes
- Provide expertise in D365 security, roles, permissions, and access aligned with SOX compliance requirements
- Develop functional and technical design documentation for new or updated processes and system customizations
- Support system upgrades and enhancements, including test planning, execution, and debugging
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions for SMEs and end-users
- Assist with system administration, including user access, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Perform additional duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- At least 3 years of experience with general ledger and project accounting systems
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools supporting financial operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
- Experience working in SOX-compliant environments
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with data warehousing or data lake environments supporting Power BI reporting
- Exposure to AI-driven data/reporting solutions is a plus
