Type: Contract / Full-Time (as applicable)
Category: Enterprise Systems / Middleware Engineering
Role Overview
We are looking for a WFS Integration Developer to lead the technical design, development, and optimization of our workforce management ecosystem. Your primary mission is to ensure that the WorkForce Suite (WFS) communicates flawlessly with our external payroll, finance, and identity management systems.
This is a high-impact technical role focused on API architecture, data transformation, and complex pay rule configuration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integration & API Management
- Build & Maintain: Design and support robust integrations using WFS REST/SOAP APIs and file-based interfaces (CSV/XML).
- Middleware Orchestration: Use tools like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), MuleSoft, or Dell Boomi to manage data flows between WFS and third-party vendors.
- Webhooks & Real-time Sync: Configure event-based triggers to ensure employee data and time-punches are synced across the landscape in real-time.
2. WFS Technical Configuration
- Policy Editor & Pay Rules: Develop and debug complex labor law and union rules within the WFS Policy Editor.
- Formula Development: Write advanced mathematical and logical formulas (JavaScript/SQL-based) to handle overtime, shift premiums, and fatigue management.
- System Troubleshooting: Act as the Tier 3 technical lead for integration failures, data mismatches, and "gross pay" export errors.
3. Data Integrity & Reporting
- ETL & Data Mapping: Lead the mapping of data fields between WFS and external Payroll/ERP systems to ensure "Gross-to-Net" accuracy.
- Reporting: Create technical reports using SQL or Cognos to audit data flows and monitor integration health.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Must-Haves
- WFS Expertise: 3+ years of experience in WorkForce Software (WFS) development (specifically EmpCenter or WorkForce Suite).
- Programming/Scripting: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (used for WFS configurations) and SQL/PL-SQL.
- Integration Protocols: Deep understanding of REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and secure file transfer (SFTP).
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with HTML and CSS for UI-level adjustments within the suite.
Functional Knowledge
- Understanding of Workforce Management (WFM) concepts: accruals, shifts, labor distribution, and compliance.
- Experience handling Union/CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) complexity in a technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- WFS Technical Certification (Level 1 or Level 2).
- Experience with Cloud Middleware platforms (e.g., OIC, Workato, or Boomi).
- Background in industries with complex scheduling (Construction, Manufacturing, or Healthcare).
