SAIC is a trusted leader in delivering advanced command and control capabilities across the Department of the Air Force, bringing deep expertise in how cutting edge technologies are engineered, secured, and delivered to the fight. At the center of this mission, the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) unifies data, sensors, mission applications, cloud based services, and emerging AI enabled automation to give warfighters a decisive edge-turning complex, multidomain information into fast, clear, and actionable decisions in the moments that matter most. The CMCC System Facilitator contract positions SAIC to accelerate how new capabilities are integrated, tested, secured, and transitioned into operational use, working side by side with operators, engineers, Capability Providers, and government teams to ensure every delivery strengthens mission readiness. This effort offers the chance to directly shape how the Air Force sees, decides, and acts across all domains-making a tangible and immediate impact on warfighter effectiveness.

A successful candidate brings strong MBSE and system design expertise, excels at translating mission needs into clear architectural direction, and ensures capabilities integrate seamlessly through well defined interfaces and model driven design. The Architect drives the technical baseline, leads architectural trade studies, and partners closely with the team to maintain accurate, traceable system models that align requirements, behaviors, and interfaces with the overall CMCC technical vision.

Job Duties include:
  • Lead CMCC architecture development; own a nonproprietary technical baseline and model artifacts across classification levels; steward Government led CCB approvals.
  • Direct MBSE execution (Cameo/ SysML / DoDAF ); ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements, architecture, and verification.
  • Oversee EICD content and interface definitions; coordinate externals with Infrastructure Support to keep connections current and governed.
  • Provide architecture impact analyses for backlog items, capability onboarding, and environment promotion; align designs to reliability/availability objectives.
  • Produce and maintain program level artifacts (plans, schedules, capability roadmaps) to synchronize stakeholders.
  • Support SIP training with architecture updates, governance criteria, and modeling standards.
  • Ensure architecture supports SLAs, CM controls, and A&A evidence for IATT/ATC/ATO.
  • Mentor Systems Engineer/Modeler and engineering teams; enforce modeling discipline, standards, and configuration control.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; OR Master's and sixteen (16) years or more; OR PhD/JD and thirteen (13) years or more.

  • 15-18+ years in systems architecture or system of systems integration for complex/classified DoD environments.
  • Proven MBSE leadership (Cameo/ SysML / DoDAF ) with model to requirements traceability and verification alignment.
  • Familiarity with environment objectives (deployment/availability), SLAs, and configuration controls supporting secure releases.
  • Excellent communication and briefing skills with senior stakeholders; mentoring experience with modelers/engineers.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience on CMCC, CBC2, AOC Falconer, DI, JFN, or similar DAF C3BM efforts; familiarity with UCI/extensible schemas and external interface integration.
  • Experience contributing artifacts/evidence to IATT/ATC/ATO; alignment to RMF continuous monitoring.
  • Certifications: CISSP/Security+, CCSP, AWS Architect; INCOSE/ SAFe helpful.
  • Experience guiding Systems Engineer/Modeler teams and governing Cameo/TWC model integrity.
