Associate Instructional Designer Position Summary: The role of the Associate Instructional Designer is to design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions. Additional responsibilities include: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze training needs and design online, interactive, and blended learning programs that support business goals and improve individual performance. Coordinate with project team to ensure appropriate content and program development according to overall learning strategy design. Convert SME content into web-based training based on proven instructional design and adult learning theory. Explain complex product information to non-technical audiences. Development of new training materials and modification of existing training materials. Write instructional text, audio, and video scripts. Instructional Lead Training required when needed. Other duties that match the position as assigned.
Accountabilities:- Design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions
- Convert SME content into web-based training based on proven instructional design and adult learning theory
- Development of new training materials and modification of existing training materials
- Write instructional text, audio, and video scripts
- Knowledge Link Administration oversight
- Instructional Lead Training required when needed
- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

Minimum Required Education and Experience:- Associate's Degree in Healthcare and business-related fields Experience required (Bachelor's Preferred).
- 0-1 years of experience in the design and development of computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions is required.
- 1+ years of EMR related training/design, web-based applications/web-based technology platforms, LMS applications is preferred.
Instructional Designer Position Summary: The role of the Instructional Designer is to design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-based learning solutions. Partner with training and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze training needs and design online, interactive, and blended learning programs that support business goals and improve individual performance. Coordinate with project team to ensure appropriate content and program development according to overall learning strategy design. Convert SME content into web-based training based on proven instructional design and adult learning theory. Explain complex product information to non-technical audiences. Write instructional text, audio, and video scripts. Design curricula according to adult learning theory, instructional principles, and user objectives. Works to identify user's training solution. Gather required data from users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications. Coordinate with other departments to ensure training meets requirements. Remain current on product trends both within and outside the organization. Research, design, and implement training materials using various multi-media channels including digital and paper-based. Other duties that match the position as assigned.
