Business Specialist – SAP Finance

We are seeking an experienced Business Specialist – SAP Finance to support financial analysis, reporting, monthly close activities, budgeting, and long-range planning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with SAP FI/CO, Excel, Access, financial data analysis, and management reporting.

The candidate should be comfortable extracting and integrating financial data from multiple systems, developing financial models and reports, analyzing complex financial information, and translating findings into meaningful business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, validate, and analyze financial and cost data from SAP and other business systems.

• Prepare and integrate data from multiple sources using Microsoft Excel and Access.

• Develop financial reports, dashboards, models, and analysis to support business decision-making.

• Perform data mining and translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.

• Support monthly financial close activities, including data validation, reporting, and analysis.

• Support annual budgeting and Long-Range Planning (LRP) activities.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Design reports using advanced Excel functions, queries, and other data-driven tools.

• Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and communicate key findings to management.

• Apply managerial accounting and general accounting principles to financial analysis and reporting.

• Partner with finance, business, and non-finance stakeholders to explain financial information and support decision-making.

• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.

• Identify process improvements and develop creative solutions to business and financial challenges.

• Prepare presentations and communicate financial information effectively to all levels of management.

• Demonstrate leadership, strong business judgment, critical thinking, and business acumen.

• Work effectively in a shared-services environment and collaborate across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP, preferably SAP FI/CO.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data manipulation, reporting, and financial modeling.

• Experience with Microsoft Access, including data extraction, queries, integration, and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, managerial accounting, and general accounting practices.

• Experience extracting and integrating data from multiple systems and sources.

• Ability to validate, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.

• Experience developing financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to both finance and non-finance audiences.

• Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial analysis into business recommendations.

• Experience working in a shared services organization is preferred.
