Position Overview
SAP Transportation Management Consultant
Requirements:
Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead and configure SAP TM solutions tailored to client transportation needs.
- Translate business requirements into effective SAP TM configurations.
- Manage transportation networks, carriers, rates, and master data.
- Customize SAP TM functionalities using enhancements and integrations.
Project Management
- Drive end-to-end SAP TM implementation projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders.
- Mentor junior consultants and ensure best practices are followed.
- Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
System Optimization & Support
- Conduct system assessments for performance and process improvements.
- Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
- Recommend upgrades and stay current with SAP TM advancements.
Training & Documentation
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for users and teams.
- Prepare functional specs, process flows, and user manuals.
Industry Expertise
- Stay updated on logistics trends, regulatory changes, and SAP TM innovations.
- Provide strategic input for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain, or related field.
3rd party integration knowledge and hands on.
- Minimum 7 years of SAP TM experience, including at least two full-cycle implementations.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes (shippers, retailers, LSPs).
Hands-on experience with:
- Freight order management
- Carrier selection and tendering
- Execution and settlement
- SAP SD & TM Experience (preferred)
- TM technical objects (e.g., BOBT)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SAP TM certification (preferred).
