About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in San Jose, CA. This role will provide critical support for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities while the Close and Consolidation team is actively engaged in a company-wide Tagetik Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) implementation.

The ideal candidate will have strong corporate accounting experience, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items.
  • Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with financial consolidation processes, including elimination entries and financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare financial analyses, variance explanations, and management reporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and regional accounting teams.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and information.
  • Help maintain and improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Provide backup support for critical close activities.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new accounting processes and systems during the company''''s finance transformation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Month-end and quarter-end close processes
    • Journal entries
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial statement preparation
    • Intercompany accounting
    • Financial consolidations
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Experience working for a multinational organization with multiple legal entities and foreign currencies.
  • Experience with consolidation and reporting platforms such as:
    • Tagetik
    • SAP S/4HANA and Group Reporting
    • Hyperion
    • OneStream
  • Experience supporting financial systems implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate accounting environment.
