Senior Business Analyst

Gejits Infotech Inc needs a Senior Business Analyst with minimum 10 + Years extensive experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation to join our direct state client at Tallahassee, Florida.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will support Department projects by facilitating requirements gathering, documenting business and system needs, mapping processes, supporting testing and UAT, and coordinating with technical and program stakeholders. This role also produces project status reporting and follows Department IT standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate collection of system requirements with business program staff (as directed by the Department).

• Develop project documentation including diagrams, flow charts, and requirements documents.

• Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and support project managers across all project phases.

• Develop test cases and test plans; conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Perform testing of system changes to ensure user-defined requirements are met.

• Facilitate UAT sessions with business program staff and document outcomes.

• Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (schedule meetings, document decisions, track issues and action items).

• Produce status reports on implementation progress of user-defined requirements.

• Follow Department IT processes and coordinate with Department IT staff to ensure compliance with standards.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding activities, deliverables, and status.

• Actively participate in project status meetings.

Required Skills / Experience (recommended for posting)

• Business analysis experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.

• Experience producing diagrams/flow charts/process maps and clear requirements documentation.

• Experience with test planning, test case development, and UAT facilitation.

• Strong meeting facilitation, stakeholder communication, and status reporting skills.

• Ability to work across business and technical teams and follow established IT processes/standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting public sector or enterprise IT projects.

• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
