THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Ground Support Equipment for a Systems Engineer supporting the F-35 program. On our Sustainment Engineering team, you can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

Position Responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects:
Supports risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems.
Manages key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across a number of disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent across disciplines, and interfacing with stakeholders (e.g., engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met.
Orchestrates cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.
Performs hardware/software troubleshooting.
Supports and provides guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
Works continuously and cross-functionally to analyze, test and iterate technical requirements, user stories and operations concepts.
Provides technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team.

Please Note: This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and holds an active Secret security clearance. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

WHO YOU ARE

The successful candidate will report to the F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Sustainment Engineering, Systems Engineering Lead. The candidate will actively engage and support multiple teams, ranging from SE Sustainment Engineering, SE R&M, SE Material Readiness Team, Operational Sustainment team, to the individual Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineers to resolve issues which may adversely impact product delivery and performance.

The successful candidate will address DMS issues in a timely manner, to prevent any negative impact to SE sustainment. From time to time the candidate will interface with multiple vendors to clearly convey issues, coordinate meetings and support efforts to develop viable solutions to known StOP. Furthermore, the individual will find it necessary to engage Product/Hardware/Component Engineer to resolve Support Equipment design concerns.

Basic Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering
2 or more years of experience developing system requirements, interfaces, and architectures using MBSE tools and techniques
2 or more years of experience performing systems integration
Active secret Security Clearance within the last 5 years

Desired skills

JSF Data Library (JDL)
Design engineering understanding to read and interpret drawing
EPDM (Enterprise Products Data Management)
CATIA v5, PDM
Experience with Atlassian JIRA

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
