Summary

Job Description Summary
Help Build the Future of Neonatal Care

Our mission is simple: help send mothers and infants home healthy. The Infant Care team develops safe, reliable, connected medical devices that support clinicians caring for newborns in critical care environments worldwide.
In this role you'll develop clinician-facing software used to monitor, manage, and care for some of healthcare's most vulnerable patients - real-time monitoring displays, clinical workflows, and service tools. NICU clinicians rely on our devices 24/7, so your work directly impacts patient safety, caregiver efficiency, and the quality of care delivered to newborns and mothers around the world.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain clinician-facing applications using Qt/QML and C++
  • Build real-time displays for patient parameters, trends, alarms, and device status
  • Create intuitive clinical workflows for NICU and Labor & Delivery, translating UX designs into production software
  • Develop service and diagnostic tools (software upgrade, calibration, diagnostics, logging, configuration) for field and biomedical engineers
  • Build backend application services supporting data management and device functionality
  • Develop automated/unit tests and verification artifacts; participate in code and design reviews
  • Support software verification, validation, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Collaborate with Human Factors, Systems Engineering, Clinical, and Product teams to improve usability

Ideal Candidate Profile

We're seeking experienced engineers with strengths in one or more of the following. Medical device experience is preferred but not required.
  • Qt/QML application development and C++ software engineering
  • User interface / user experience development
  • Desktop or embedded application development
  • Real-time visualization and monitoring systems
  • High-reliability software (healthcare, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or similar)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in C++
  • Experience developing user-facing applications with Qt/QML or a similar modern UI framework
  • Solid software testing, debugging, and code-quality practices; experience with Git and Linux-based environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Qt Quick / QML; embedded or connected device development
  • Real-time visualization, monitoring systems, or complex user workflows
  • Translating Figma/UX designs into production applications
  • REST APIs, MQTT/event-driven architectures, SQLite
  • CI/CD pipelines, static analysis (Coverity), and automated test frameworks
  • Regulated development experience; IEC 62304, IEC 62366, or ISO 14971
  • Usability engineering / human factors; healthcare workflow knowledge; Qt localization

Technology Stack

C++, QML, JavaScript, Python (test) Qt / Qt Quick Linux & Embedded Linux, MedOS Microservices, MQTT, REST SQLite, JSON Git, CMake, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Coverity, Jama, Rally, Figma Qt Test, GTest, GMock

Candidates are not expected to have experience with every technology listed.

Don't meet every qualification? Great candidates may not check every box. If your experience aligns with many of the core responsibilities and you're excited to build software that improves patient care, we encourage you to apply.
