Summary

This role follows a 4x10 schedule. Please note your shift preference, if any, in the submission notes.

Sunday Wednesday, 9:00am 6:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Wednesday Saturday, 9:00am 6:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Training Schedule:

The first 30 days will be Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm for onboarding and training. After training, candidates will transition to their assigned shift.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

HPC server installation and support

Managing daily operational duties including error checking, inventory management, goods receiving, remote hands support, and visitor escorting

Investigating and resolving hardware issues through replacement of end-user serviceable components such as hard drives, motherboard trays, RAM, and similar parts

Managing complex hardware issues through vendor support agreements

Investigating, managing, and resolving copper and fiber cabling issues

Performing data center change activities including installing or relocating servers, network switches, and associated cabling

Copper and fiber cabling installation (loose cabling, not structured), including labeling and cable dressing for all data center hardware

BIOS, console, and basic Linux OS investigation or configuration

Script deployment and asset audits

Updating and maintaining capacity and configuration management data

Responding to and completing work order tool assigned tasks

Technical Experience:

Hands-on experience with Supermicro, Dell, and HPE servers

Experience with InfiniBand fabric and Mellanox technologies

Familiarity with Arista networking hardware

Strong UNIX administration skills (Ubuntu or Red Hat) with knowledge of basic command-line operations

Extensive experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise-level servers, storage, and networking equipment

Solid understanding of data center infrastructure including structured cabling, power distribution, cooling, and system resiliency

Experience installing large volumes of data cabling with a high standard of presentation

Additional Qualifications:

Strong technical background with a logical, methodical approach to problem solving

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Basic Linux and networking knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Strong attention to detail and a desire to maintain high operational standards
