Location: New York, New York (Hybrid)
Role Overview
The Business Manager function serves as an interface between central teams, including Business Management, Governance, Finance, and Operational Risk Management. The focus of this role is on headcount, resource, and vendor management, alongside operational risk tracking, audit progress, and organizational best practices. This position involves direct collaboration with various internal teams to support financial functions, resource allocation, and program information needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the business management team to build reports and manage financial support functions.
- Collaborate with functional and development managers on resource allocations and forecasts.
- Interact with key business resources to address project, program, and audit information requirements.
- Coordinate between the corporate governance team and project managers to ensure alignment in tool usage for tracking programs.
- Assist project managers in developing resource and budget forecasts.
- Coordinate with globally distributed teams on various information and projects.
- Manage resource changes, including on-boarding, off-boarding, reporting, and metrics.
- Oversee vendor management, including invoice processing, payment status, and forecasting.
- Handle ad-hoc requests for executive meetings, business presentations, and corporate communications.
- Capture and report on key project metrics, financial forecasts versus actuals, and resource plans.
- Conduct quarterly business and organizational reviews covering headcount, hiring status, and financials.
- Manage operational risk and compliance coordination, such as mandatory training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with resource management and forecasting.
- Experience with vendor management and procurement.
- Experience with creating and analyzing metrics and related reporting.
- Intermediate to expert skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate SharePoint skills for managing workflows, portals, and data repositories.
- Superior business acumen.
