Overview:
Join our client's innovative team as a Principal Quantitative Developer / Technical Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping advanced investment research and analytics platforms within the realm of Quantitative Investment Science (QIS). This position offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that enhance decision-making workflows, combining strategic guidance with hands-on technical execution. By orchestrating critical system architecture, you will drive the development of scalable, reliable solutions that support sophisticated investment strategies and cutting-edge AI capabilities. Compensation:
$160,000.00 - $240,000.00 annually

Responsibilities:

Spearhead end-to-end delivery of large-scale platform initiatives that span multiple teams and functions
Define and direct the technical vision for shared systems used across investment and partner groups
Design and implement scalable, compliant systems with durable data models and clear API boundaries
Facilitate technical discovery sessions and align stakeholders with competing priorities
Develop deployment strategies, operational plans, and ownership models to ensure smooth rollouts
Contribute to the development of core services and AI-driven platform components
Mentor engineering teams, raising overall technical standards and fostering best practices
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners to explain trade-offs and system capabilities

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, specifically with platform, distributed systems, or similar domains
Proven track record of independently leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to production
Strong expertise in systems design, including APIs, cloud platforms, distributed services, and data modeling
Hands-on experience developing scalable services in Python; familiarity with Azure is a plus
Practical background building AI-enabled solutions in live environments
Excellent communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
Adept at mentoring engineers and elevating technical performance across teams
Ability to remain actively involved in production coding while managing broad strategic responsibilities
