Senior Network Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Downtown Houston seeking a Senior Network Analyst with a minimum of six years of experience. This role is a long-term contract and sits onsite. The Senior Network Analyst will be responsible for design and operation of the CNP substation LAN \ WAN network. In addition, the Analyst will work with minimum direct supervision and work as part of technical teams on special projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
* Planning, design, and installation of routers, switches, or other network components
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: spanning tree, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLAN technologies, WAN protocols
* Conduct network troubleshooting using network protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark
* Possess good working knowledge and experience in planning, design, installation, and support of LAN (Ethernet, Gig-Ethernet)
* Possess good working knowledge and experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as: CONITEL, DNP, Modbus and 68150
* Possess good working knowledge of cybersecurity
* Possess good NERC-CIP knowledge and SME (Subject Matter Expert) during audits
* Conduct knowledge transfer activities with peers or other support groups
* Responsible for vendor comparisons as needed
* Maintain network drawings
* Provide testing for new network hardware and software solutions
* Accountable for adhering to Change Management process for network related incidents
* Participates in process improvement initiatives
* Serve as member of technical team on selected large-scale substation networking projects
* Provides support, testing, troubleshooting for all business applications
* Utilize intelligent network management tools to isolate problems or improve network performance

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent work experience
* Desired Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCENT
* 6+ years of experience that includes network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as: routers and switches
* 6+ years of experience in providing design and support services for large-scale, multi-site network environments.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
