Overview
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's servers, infrastructure, and core systems. This role ensures stable system performance, security, and availability while partnering with internal teams to support ongoing IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, storage, virtualization environments, and core infrastructure systems
* Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and system tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve system level issues related to performance, connectivity, or configuration
* Administer user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access controls
* Maintain system security by applying patches, performing updates, and monitoring logs
* Support backup processes, disaster recovery plans, and system failover procedures
* Document configurations, procedures, system changes, and technical environments
* Collaborate with network, security, and support teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
* Three or more years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support
* Experience with Windows Server and or Linux server environments
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper V
* Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VLANs
* Experience managing Active Directory, group policies, and identity management tools
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash is helpful
* Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
* Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, or CompTIA certifications are a plus
