Summary

Duration: 18 Months
Location: Remote, anywhere in continental united states
 
The SharePoint Engineer is responsible for migration, and modernization of enterprise SharePoint environments, with a primary focus on migrating SharePoint On‑Premises platforms to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365). 
 
Design and maintain custom applications using Power Apps and SharePoint Online
Experience of ShareGate migration tool, ensuring data integrity, minimal disruption and adherence to timelines.
Build and manage workflows with Power Automate
Create and maintain SharePoint lists, libraries, and team sites, including structure, metadata, and views
Configure and manage SharePoint security groups, user access, and permissions
Transition legacy data, libraries, and processes to modern, web-based systems, especially within SharePoint
Use Azure Dev Ops code repositories for all code changes and version controls.
Utilize Azure Dev Ops to record and report bugs to Quality Assurance, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Maintain associated databases and provide regular data reports and usage metrics
Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, user-centered solutions
Adhere to UI/UX best practices for layout, accessibility, and performance
Document systems, workflows, procedures, and access protocols
Support ongoing site/tool maintenance and troubleshoot user issues as needed
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in technology solutions consulting, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and enterprise productivity platforms.
Proficiency in SharePoint Online and content management best practices, including information architecture, permissions management, and governance.
Demonstrated expertise with the M365 Admin Center, including tenant-level administration and service management.
Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for identity management, SSO, Conditional Access, and directory synchronization.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity) and security best practices within M365.
Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
Proven experience in SharePoint content migration projects using ShareGate or similar enterprise migration tools.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities, deployment considerations, and responsible AI governance.
Strong understanding of M365 licensing models, including E3/E5 plans, add-on licensing, and cost optimization strategies.
Experience working with enterprise technology ecosystems, including integration patterns, hybrid environments.
